Bio
Hoochie Coo's "Ride, Ride, Ride" is the brainchild of Chris Houchin, or “Hooch” as he's often called. Hooch is originally from New Haven Ct. but has lived most of his adult life in Los Angeles.

Houchin began his musical career as the main attraction in Abraham Pierson's 4th grade talent show in Clinton Ct. Then just 8 years old, he sang and accompanied himself on guitar while doing a tribute to the king, Elvis Presley. The faculty was so impressed that the following year he was asked to host the show. During his adolescent years he formed in an outlandish rock group called Arrival .

With their onstage antics and high energy and colorful style, Arrival went on to write and record dozens of songs, play regional clubs and fairs and even receive consistent airplay on Hartford radio WHCN. Between ‘88 and '91, Hooch went on to work for MTV where he wrote and recorded various soundtracks for MTV's Sales and Marketing. He also interviewed musical celebrities and worked as Associate Producer on the Billy Idol Rockumentary as well as the “Heavy Metal” Rockumentary. Many considered MTV's “Heavy Metal Rockumentary” to be the defining piece on a whole genre of popular music. Hooch also makes a cameo appearance in the show and did extensive research on the topics and compilations of various materials.

During the 90's, Houchin wrote/recorded and published many songs while lending his guitar talents to many L.A. sessions. He appeared in television commercials and has performed live in most of L.A.'s hottest clubs. Hooch also infiltrated the California surf culture of which eventually led to the inspiration for the title song for the record, "Ride, Ride, Ride".

In September and October of 2000, Chris Houchin took part in a U.S.O. tour to the middle East where he entertained U.S. and British troops in Eight Countries including Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. After returning from performing in some of the worlds harshest climates, Houchin, along with Hoochie Coo , recorded his Solo CD called “Ride Ride Ride” in Long Beach California. It is hailed as being a very innovative and cool CD with great hooks and has killer guitar solos with very imaginative vocal arrangements. Hooch joined Steel Breeze in January of '04, and with his ripping solos and lead vocals, his onstage acrobatics proved to be a welcome addition to the band which logged over 250 performances in a single year.

In ‘05, Hooch has sharpened his musical tools more than ever. His rock trio Hoochie Coo features Francesco DiCosmo, and Bobby Jarzombek of the Rob Halford band. They have performed nearly 200 shows in and around L.A., which is quite an accomplishment in such a musically saturated area. They often have surprise guests perform on stage with them such as Sebastian Bach from Skid Row.

Hoochie Coo's ”Ride, Ride, Ride” is selling fast and quickly becoming a cult classic.
